Remember a few weeks ago, the hubby and I took a trip to the coast for some razor clamming?? Well this weekend, we went back – this time in the daylight. It was a completely different experience and it couldn’t have been a better day. The sun was out and it was warm! I didn’t even get water in my boots this time!
First of all, I can’t tell you enough how much digging for clams in the daylight was so much easier. We spotted our first clam within minutes of getting to the water. This is what we were searching for…it’s that circle in the middle of the picture that looks like a water drop. You can see why we had trouble finding them in the dark the last time…
We also didn’t have as much crap to carry with us (lantern, headlamps, and we had better buckets to put our clams in.) I think I said last time we were out there for several hours…not so much this time. We hit our limit within 30 minutes and in some ways, it was a little disappointing. It’s a lot of fun to dig for them.
To show you what it’s like, I took a video of the hubby.
Once again, we had a great time at the beach.
